Chester Of The Very Dirty Feet

Hello everyone. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your dapper doggie reporter Joseph (Joey dog) Spaniel.

It was yet another soggy morning. In fact, the yard was so mushy that ghostwriter made my excitable colleague Chester L. W. Spaniel stay inside and deal with that persistent squirrel out the drive-through barking window.

Grrrrrrrrr.

Bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark !

Bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark …

That was fairly effective. We didn't see that screwy squirrel again for the rest of the morning! But we had to actually go out sooner or later. Chester discovered that there was something underneath the wood pile.

He dug in the mud and refused go back inside, even when Dad hollered at him, and ghostwriter went out with a leash. He wouldn't give up until ghostwriter took the entire wood pile apart.

Only then, did a big fat mousie come out and dart through the fence! Case closed!

  2. Good work, Chester. We are both quite well known for muddy paws too:)

Glad you warned the peeps, can't have pesky critters lurking in the woodpile.
