Saturday Yum Yums And More

Greetings everybody. This is The Daily Bone and I'm your enthusiastic doggie reporter
Chester L. W. Spaniel. I have lots of news to cover today!

It's another Yum Yum Saturday! Where does the time go? Ghostwriter and Dad are trying to use the grill as much as they can before the cold weather comes. Here's what they cooked:

First up, Jamaican jerk seasoned grilled chicken, with mashed sweet potatoes, and watermelon balls. Well, that was quite a mouthful to say! It was very toothsome!

Grilled bratwurst, corn on the cob, and parsley potatoes. Ghostwriter's favorite! Yummy!

Today we had teriyaki chicken with Nishiki rice and steamed vegetables. Delicious! And now for our random Angel Joey dog photo. He loved some grilled yum yums too!

Below is the little potato I found growing in the compost pile. Doesn't it look like a teddy bear? I got to eat it too!

I can't wait to find out what the other potatoes will look like! Ghostwriter said to leave them alone until they get bigger.

In other news, my favorite miniature human, Ryan, got to run in a special kiddie race with his Dad at Mendon Ponds Park. He got to wear a number just like the grown-up runners!

Woweee!

There he goes!

He won a medal and got to eat some delicious yum yums too! Hooray!

Which reminds me, here are some food related funnies. This first one is for our kitty cat friends and for everyone who loves bacon!

Finally, we have a story from our Florida associate Miss Charlee.

Um, hi Chester. This is my friend Bella. For some reason Bella loves to play bitey-face!

Arrrgg.

OK, I think that's enough of that game! I have a report to finish.

But wait a minute! What's this? Wow! Bella has a great pool in her back yard! I wonder why she doesn't like to go in it?

I'll just take a moment to wash my face.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. That big old storm Hermine didn't bother us at all! We just got some rain.

Thanks for that report, Charlee, I think.

Bitey face made us giggle, and we read this post before we posted our comment on the other...we think the petcretary is tired after working (slugging) three shifts over the long weekend. She never works more than 2...

That bacon comic made all of us giggle out loud!
